E invoicing and its timeline
Jan 2027: Mandatory for large businesses having more than AED 50M turnover
July 2027: Mandatory for all SMEs businesses
Oct 2027: Mandatory for Govt entities
What will be fine if you miss the deadline
AED 5000/ month if you don’t implement e-invoicing or appoint service provider by July 2026
AED 100 per invoice If you don’t send e-invoice on time it will go up to AED 5000
Important Details that you should know :
Company must use structured e-invoice,
PDF/Excel are NO longer valid.
Ensure accounting software supports PINT-AE format
Invoice must be sent via approved service provider (ASP) to FTA
All records stored within UAE for at least 5 years
Invoice needs to be issued Within 14 days of transaction
