The UAE's Federal Tax Authority (“FTA”) has published a new user guide on Excise Tax Returns. In this guide you can find a brief overview of the excise tax return, the different forms to support the return, their applicability, the frequency in which a taxable person can use the form, preparing excise tax returns, adding products to the FTA’s list and paying excise tax due.

The excise values are derived from various declaration forms submitted to the FTA (see below) which will be pre-populated on the excise tax return. Usually, the only amount to be entered in this form is the value of stockpiled excise goods and excise tax due on stockpiling.
