Superannuation is due within 7 business days from the 'payment date'. It must have cleared and reached the employee's fund by then.
Best practice - authorise it at the same time you process payroll. Even if the payment date is a couple of days in advance.

This time next week we will be celebrating EOFY - but before we get there it’s important to prepare!

For those who have used the ATO Superannuation Portal (clearing house) in the past, please ensure you login and download all reports and save them somewhere in case they need to be referred to later.

On 1 July this portal will be taken offline. There will be absolutely no access to it.

If you use it for a final payment, the money will need to be received and cleared by the ATO by 30 June. Any funds not cleared will be rejected and returned to the employer.

A reminder - if you use Xero for your superannuation payments, please ensure your Quarter 3 payment is approved by 2pm today or you risk it not reaching the fund in time.
