So it came to my attention that people may not understand the difference between an e-Commerce website and a Service based website.

e-Commerce is basically a website where customers can purchase products and or services on-line. It is often more expensive than a basic service website as the number of website pages increase depending on the number of products the client is selling.

Each product requires an individual product page created, so if a client has 100 products they would require 100 individual pages and a collection page to display each product. As you can imagine there is a lot more work involved when creating an e-Commerce website.

A service based website is more of an informational website. These often include booking forms where payment is taken on-site.

An example of this is an air conditioning mechanic who would require a website so customers can book a free onsite quote for his services but payment for his services would be invoiced and taken once the job is completed.

Service based websites are less detailed with less pages required therefore they are usually less expensive to create.
