Job Opening: SMSF Paraplanner

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SMSF Paraplanner with a strong background in Australian financialplanning to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our team to support our clients with their SMSF investments.

About the role

Conduct thorough research on SMSF regulations to ensure the most current information is utilized in financial planning. Stay updated on changes in SMSF legislation and industry trends, incorporating relevant updates into client strategies.
Evaluate the suitability of an SMSF structure for clients based on their financial situation and goals.
Coordinate with clients, superfunds, and insurance providers to oversee the third-party authority request process and conduct research for the preparation of the Statement of Advice (SOA).
Maintain accurate records of client communications, investment decisions, and compliance documentation for auditing purposes. Collaborate with licensee representatives to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Assist in the preparation of Statement of Advice (SOA) documents, ensuring they comply with regulatory standards and accurately reflect client objectives and risk profiles.
Maintain daily communication with clients through emails and calls, addressing their queries and providing updates on the SMSF setup process. Focus on building strong client relationships.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as accounting and legal departments, to ensure comprehensive support for SMSF clients.
Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in financial planning, SMSF compliance, and wealth management.
Actively contribute to the growth and success of the firm through proactive client engagement, networking, and business development initiatives.
About you

You must have:

At least 2 years of experience in a Financial Planning - related role in Australia
With AU experience in SMSF compliance and preparation of Statement of Advice
Must have a degree in Financial Management, Economics, or Accounting or any equivalent
Strong organizational and time management skills
Expertise in Financial Planning and Wealth Management
Has strong financial and analytical skills and high attention to details

Nice to have:

Knowledge of BGL is preferred but not a must
Excellent verbal and written skills
Self-motivated with a “Can do attitude” enthusiasm and the ability to work autonomously
You are an effective, clear communicator in all formats with great people skills
You are a self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving abilities and a solution-orientated mindset
You are practically always on time (or early) and strive to deliver ahead of deadlines
·You have excellent time management skills and can juggle multiple tasks while communicating honestly about your timelines, challenges, and questions
·You are focused on getting the details right – you do not do sloppy work or let little things slip through the cracks

Job Role: Intermediate Accountant

About the Opportunity:

Join Hatcher Advisory as an Accountant and lead the financial operations for our esteemed clients. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for devising and implementing financial strategies, mitigating risks, producing and presenting financial reports, and guiding budgeting and forecasting endeavors.
As an integral part of our team, you will collaborate closely with clients and colleagues to offer expert financial guidance. Building strong relationships with clients, shareholders, and stakeholders will be key to your success.
Primary Responsibilities:
Compile tax compliance reports (BAS, FBT, PAYG Super, etc.) for review and submission
Prepare Tax Returns/ Financials
Conduct reporting and forecasting activities
Possess expertise in financial report preparation and analysis
Proficiency in Xero and Xero Tax; familiarity with QuickBooks and MYOB is advantageous
Ideally, have knowledge or experience in Statutory Trust Accounting
Exhibit exceptional communication skills
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail
Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
Display strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Approach tasks with a friendly demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
3 to 4 years of Australian Tax & Accounting Experience
Preparation and reconciliation of Xero files
Preparation of Income Tax Returns (AU) and Financial Statements for companies, trusts, individuals, partnerships, and SMSFs
Preparation of accounting and tax work papers
Preparation of BAS and IAS
General accounting and administrative tasks as required by your manager
Preparation of structure diagrams
Preparation of tax reconciliations
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of Australian Accounting experience
CA/CPA certification or a Master's in Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft programs
Prior data build training is preferred but not mandatory
Enthusiastic and capable of working independently
Strong organizational and time management capabilities
Skilled in document management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a proactive approach
