Intermediate Accountant | Growing Brisbane Practice | Victoria Point & Jimboomba
Acquire Strategic Accounting is on the hunt for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team. We’re a Queensland practice currently in Morningside (soon relocating to Victoria Point) with a second office in Jimboomba, and we do a lot more than just tax returns. Think business advisory, SMSF, Virtual CFO work, structuring and M&A. We’re a Xero Platinum Partner and we like doing things properly.
This is a great spot for someone who’s done their time on the basics and is ready to take on more interesting work without being micromanaged.
What you’ll be doing
● Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships ● Getting across BAS, IAS and general compliance work ● Tackling more involved jobs like CGT, Division 7A and the odd advisory piece as you grow ● Working directly with clients and building real relationships, not just crunching numbers ● Keeping things moving in Xero (and our practice management setup) so nothing falls through the cracks
What we’re after
● Around 2 to 4 years in an Australian public practice ● Solid Xero skills (bonus points if you know your way around the wider Xero ecosystem) ● CA or CPA underway, or a genuine plan to get there ● Someone who’s switched on, asks good questions and actually enjoys the work ● Good with people, because our clients are a big part of what makes this fun
