Welcome back, Scott! We're excited to welcome Scott Pearson from 1 Green Thumb Gardening back to our Toowoomba Business Partners team.

Scott was a member of our team many years ago and it's wonderful to have him back around the breakfast table.

What many people don't know about Scott is that his work goes far beyond mowing lawns and garden maintenance. His attention to detail is that of an artist. Whether it's a beautifully shaped hedge, a complete garden rejuvenation, ongoing property maintenance, landscaping, turf installation, paving, edging or creating an outdoor space that people genuinely love spending time in, Scott takes enormous pride in doing things properly.

His approach isn't a ‘mow, blow and go’ service. (Those are HIS words! 🤣) He genuinely cares about helping clients create and maintain beautiful gardens while educating them along the way.

One of the things I admire most about Scott is his humility. He is incredibly talented at what he does, yet remains one of the kindest and most down-to-earth people you'll meet.

Welcome back, Scott. We're so glad you're here and look forward to seeing your business continue to grow and thrive.

Future Ready is not just about technology, systems or keeping up with change. For us, being future ready is about long term, trusted human connections. The sort of connections that develop through conversations, collaboration and genuinely showing up for one another over time.

That’s why Brendan and I do what we do. We believe every introduction has the potential to create opportunity, spark an idea or create something bigger in life and business.

In a world moving faster than ever, those real-life conversations matter more than ever. Shaking someone’s hand, sharing a conversation, exchanging business cards and walking away knowing you’d genuinely like to sit down for a coffee and learn more about them.

One day to go until ticket sales close for the Toowoomba Business Speed Networking Breakfast and we’re looking forward to welcoming another incredible room full of local business owners, leaders and community-minded humans.

‘Please do the good you can today.’ That simple but powerful message from Jules from Hope for Our Children captures the heart of the work she does supporting vulnerable children and young people in our community.

Jules shared the reality many children face when entering care, arriving frightened and overwhelmed with little more than a small bag of belongings, often separated from family, community and everything familiar to them.

Through Hope for our Children, Jules and her team provide practical support, dignity and comfort through their Bags of Hope program, which includes essentials like pyjamas, toothbrushes and comfort toys for children entering care.

One story that deeply resonated was of a little two-year-old girl who carried a unicorn from her Bag of Hope everywhere she went that day. Such a small gesture, yet in moments of fear and uncertainty, it can mean absolutely everything.

Jules speaks openly and honestly about the very real needs facing vulnerable children in our community and the importance of practical support from everyday people.

She is one of those people who genuinely lives the work she does, bringing warmth, heart and unwavering commitment to children who need safety, dignity and care.

Thank you Jules for sharing your heart, your story and the extraordinary work Hope for our Children is doing in our community.

We’re looking forward to welcoming many more wonderful humans into the room at our upcoming Toowoomba Business Speed Networking event on 22 May.

We recently heard from Kiri Edyvean-Rouhan from Beyond Life Wills & Estate Planning at our Toowoomba Business Partners breakfast.

Kiri is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in Estate Planning, and she brings a genuine warmth, honesty and care to her work.

One thing that really stands out is her belief in being a person first and a lawyer second.

Kiri shares how her decision to start her own firm comes from a desire to create a more caring, client-focused experience, making estate planning feel clearer, more accessible and less overwhelming for the people she supports.

She also speaks about the importance she places on taking the time to ensure her clients truly understand their documents, because to Kiri, that level of care and clarity is simply part of good client service.

That commitment to integrity, care and clarity is what makes Kiri so special.Thank you, Kiri, for sharing your knowledge, energy and perspective so generously with our group.

We also love welcoming our guests, Kelly from Small Business Financial Counselling Service, and Luca, who is currently completing work experience with Matt Edwards Photography. It’s always great to see young people getting real exposure to business and networking.

If you’d like to experience our community, our Toowoomba Business Speed Networking event is coming up on 22 May 2026. We’d love you to join us.

One of the things we value most at Toowoomba Business Partners is the calibre of people who choose to stand in the room and share what truly matters.

We’re honoured to have Jules from Hope for Our Children as our upcoming member speaker.

Pictured here with Cathy from Darling Downs Property Services and Sally from Sensational Sewing at our recent speed networking event, Jules represents the kind of heart, purpose, and community spirit that makes this group so special.

Hope For Our Children was founded with a clear mission, to support vulnerable children during some of the most difficult transitions in their lives. What began with providing backpacks instead of garbage bags has grown into a movement that restores dignity, comfort, and hope for children in need.

One of their key initiatives, Bags of Hope, provides essential items for children entering care or fleeing domestic violence, helping create a sense of safety and stability during times of uncertainty.

We look forward to hearing Jules’ story and supporting the incredible impact of Hope For Our Children within our wider community.

If you’d like to experience our community as a guest, you’re very welcome to reach out.
