What I’ll Do Differently
I want there to be cohesion in the Council, so
that the job of governance can be completed
smoothly and then have administration enact
these policies.
I believe in compensation for the work
completed – which includes as the Councillor
representation on various local boards and
organizations without additional
compensation.
Based on the nomination
package and councillor roles and
responsibilities this is clearly stated are
required by a councillor as part of the elected
mandate.

Visions & Values

I will continue the work of my predecessors,
endeavoring to make Athabasca County both
vibrant and affordable for the residents and
industrial partners.
I also have a strong Agriculture background
being a farm partner with Cliff in excess of 50
years. Retaining the family farm and providing
agricultural futures for future generations is an
upmost priority.
I further believe that excellent communication
and co-operation between various other
groups and municipalities can only make
Athabasca County greater.

Experience & Qualifications
Past relevant experience (volunteer,
professional, community activism). As noted
prior I was and remains involved in the local
societies and groups in our municipality. I have
worked with groups from Grassland, Boyle and
Athabasca.
My skill set includes strong financial analysis
and analytical skills. I am very able to discern
what the issues are and will rally to ensure the
best outcomes are created for all concerned.

Key Issues & Priorities
Specific local concerns include roads andbridges in the area, along with otherinfrastructure.

Contact and retention of both residential andindustrial partners (residents) to ensuregrowth of the county. Without growth theburden of operations falls on the same fewratepayers.

Open communication with co-municipalities,provincial and federal levels of government.Accessing funding projects – Doctor retention– grants and engaging local ratepayers whomhave an interest in the various projects.

Let me introduce myself. I with my husband Clifford and our 3 children
moved to Athabasca in 1989 where I was employed at ATB and Cliff worked in a number of dealerships.
Together we purchased Joy Hayward’s Bookkeeping and Income Tax Business and have been activity operating this business in excess of 30 years (Now Athabasca Landing Business Services).
Both my banking experience and my business operational experience will place me in an optimal position to represent you, the residents of Athabasca County.
Our family have always been involved in the community with various organizations such as 4-H, Athabasca Ag Society, Colinton Community Club, Athabasca & District Chamber of Commerce, Athabasca Teen Centre and various sports organizations that involved our children over the years. I have also contributed to the local
community through various contributions to registered charities in the area.
I have a strong desire to uplift and contribute to the local community, and have strong ethical and moral work values.
