Walmart can raise prices overnight and you still shop. A small business owner gives you their price, and you always want a discount or question the price.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Nyxluna Business Services a St. Thomas-area powerhouse run by the unstoppable Nicole Derbyshire. After graduating with honours in Business Accounting, Payroll & Executive Administration, Nicole founded Nyxluna in 2022 and launched into full-cycle bookkeeping and tax prep by June 2024.

She thrives on cleaning up “big messes” — whether it’s two-years of messy books or the gaps that keep business owners up at night. “I’ll come in, take charge, and get things figured out for you,” Nicole says, her business name now a tribute to the alpha-wolf spirit of “Luna.”

Running a business and being a full-time mom hasn’t slowed her down—it’s fuelled her focus. Nicole’s approach? Build strong relationships, understand your business, and free yourself to grow. “My goal is to streamline your financial processes… so owners can focus on growing their businesses with confidence.”
