Have you seen the new changes coming to Alberta's OHS legislation? They take effect March 31, 2023 and require everyone to update their first aid kits to be compliant! There are new items required and some removed. There is also going to be changes to the naming of first aid levels as well as updated training! More information can be found below!

MMST had its third birthday recently and to celebrate we will be expanding our training offerings. We will now be teaching Heart & Stroke Instructor courses for both BLS and First Aid! We will also be offering monitoring to new instructors or those who need their yearly audits. This will be added to the website in the coming weeks. Some great info here! This is why as lay rescuers you don't check for a pulse and as BLS providers you only check for a pulse during your initial assessment.

"Despite the ubiquity of pulse checks, few people can accurately determine whether a patient is pulseless in under 10 seconds."
