WHITEHORSE (KWANLIN), YUKON CANADA – Registration is now open for teams from across the globe to compete in the 2026 International Federation of Broomball Associations (IFBA) World Championships, presented by Kilrich Building Centres.
The Yukon Broomball Association (YBA) secured the bid to host the international event in Whitehorse, Yukon. The week-long event in Canada’s capital North of 60 will welcome as many as 35 teams to compete across four divisions: mixed, men’s, women’s, and men’s masters. Games will take place in two arenas from November 3 to 7, 2026.
The international tournament will include opening ceremonies, see it-try it events for youth and the public, as well as a closing
celebration featuring true Yukon hospitality.
“The IFBA is always looking for an exciting and unforgettable location for our world broomball championships and Whitehorse definitely fits that description,” says IFBA President Marc Desparois.
“Working with the YBA and Yukon’s organizing committee has
been a great start to what we know will be a great international tournament, for a great sport.”
