2026 Players looking for a team?

Now is the time to fill that roster.

We may be able to assist in filling that roster.

Once teams and players are connected all details between you for registration, accommodation, transport, uniforms etc etc remain that teams responsibility.

Reminder to teams and players - There is a requirement to use the sponsor hotels with financial registration penalties for failing to do so.

Communication from the Host Organisation:

High importance for all teams, spectators, family, supporters with regard to securing a vehicle/s while in Whitehorse..

As per the Event Information sheet the deadline for car rentals is August 1, 2026. After this date the car rental companies may let the blocked off vehicles go, so we can't guarantee a vehicle after that date.

So not secured your vehicle/s yet, please organise this ASAP.

The IFBA has a new Associate Member.

In just the last few weeks representatives from the Basque region from Northern Spain have finalised their Associated membership with the IFBA.

We have been working for many months to bring this to fruition and are happy to announce that they have come on board.

As very new to the sport they are building their organisation and are hopeful to have competition happening in the very near future.

We shall continue to work with our newest member and encourage them to get actively involved with the sport as well as look to participate in World events as well as European events.

Being along side France's border their location easily allows for European participation. We look forward to seeing their attendance at events in the future.

Back at the start of this year the following was reported on a local Whitehorse radio station.. Monday, 2 February 2026 12:12

"Up to 35 teams from around the world will compete in four divisions: mixed, men's, women's, and men's masters.

The Yukon Broomball Association is set to host the 2026 International Federation of Broomball Associations World Championships, presented by Kilrich Building Centres, from November 3 to 7, 2026, in Whitehorse, Yukon.

According to a media release, up to 35 teams from around the world will compete in four divisions: mixed, men's, women's, and men's masters. The event will feature games in three rinks, opening ceremonies, see-it-try-it events, and a closing celebration showcasing Yukon hospitality.

"Whitehorse definitely fits the description of an exciting and unforgettable location for our world broomball championships," said IFBA President Marc Desparois.

Registration is now open at internationalbroomball.org"
