🖐 Tips to Filing Your Taxes

1.Working from home part time or full time?

Ask your employer for a T2200 as you are eligible to claim employment expenses & it does not cost your employer anything.

2. Did you vacation in Ontario last year?

Provide your receipts for the hotel, cottage, etc for the new Staycation tax credit.

3. Did you have medical expenses not covered by your benefits?

Provide your accountant with the receipts for any expenses not covered by your benefits.

If your appointment was more than 80km one way from your home you can claim mileage, food, accomodation & parking.

4. Did you move 40km closer to work or school?

You may be eligible to claim moving expenses

5. Did you purchase your first home in 2022?

You are eligible for the first time home buyers tax credit. Provide your accountant with proof of purchase to receive this.
