As we head into this Thanksgiving weekend, I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all my amazing clients! 🥰

✨ A bookkeeper isn’t a replacement for an accountant — and an accountant isn’t a replacement for a bookkeeper. We’re better when we work together.

One question that I often get from my corporate clients that I want to address is whether Tammy’s Bookkeeping Boutique offers T2 corporate tax return filing.

The short answer is no. However, I partner with an accountant for that part of the process, and it’s a very intentional decision. An accountant can provide polished, signed financial statements to go with that T2 return, so you get more of a complete year-end package.

You can keep your own accountant or I can connect you with one. I work with your accountant to make sure they have everything they need and all of their questions are answered. 🤍

Here’s how I see it: my job is to keep your books accurate, organized, and up to date throughout the year, so when year-end arrives, your accountant has reliable records to work with.

From there, a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) can handle the T2 (Corporate Tax) filing and provide the appropriate year-end expertise your business needs.

But don’t worry — I’m still here for your personal and self-employed income tax filing needs! 🙌 This doesn’t change the tax services I continue to offer. It’s simply about making sure corporate year-end work is handled through the right professional partnership.
