Federal government wants 100-day plan to address CRA call centre delays

The federal finance minister is directing the Canada Revenue Agency to implement a 100-day plan to strengthen services and improve access, saying the service delays at the agency’s call centres “are unacceptable.”

Please share this post with friends who are wondering why Vancouver Island sends NDP Members of Parliament to Ottawa. As of May, all eligible Canadians will be able to apply for the federal dental care program. If your household income is less than $90,000 and you don’t have private insurance, you will be eligible. Coverage is expected to begin on June 1st. Until now, seniors, children under 18 and adults with a disability tax credit certificate have been eligible. The Conservatives voted against this program which the NDP forced the minority Liberal government to create. The media continues to report that the Conservatives have not said whether they would keep funding the program.
