Some people treat coffee advice, Facebook comments, and professional advice like they carry the same weight.
They do not.
If a lawyer flags a real liability, contract, or risk issue, that needs professional attention, not opinion shopping.
That is different from someone casually saying:
“You’re doing well. You should probably incorporate.”
That might be confidence with no consequences.
And free advice can get expensive fast.
If most of the business cash still needs to fund the owner’s life, incorporation may add cost before benefit.
Casual advice still has to survive the math.
That is what I help BC sole proprietors look at in my Is It Time to Incorporate? Consultation.
60 minutes by Microsoft Teams.
