Every Carole King song feels like a warm hug but there’s just something about this one that feels like drinking the perfect cup of tea under a blanket on a cool but sunny fall day that is simply unbeatable. When I coming up with ideas for my Gilmore Girls collection (coming Aug 22) I knew I *had* to do something with these lyrics as a 70s singer-songwriter girlie it was meant to be. Who else gets this song stuck in their head for days after watching just one episode? 😂

Well here we are, I’m going to attempt to tackle (which I only decided to do at 7:45 this morning over coffee). So, nice to meet you if you’re new here, nice to see you again if you’ve been here for awhile! I’m Taylor, I’m an embroidery artist currently based in Vancouver, BC (I recently moved here from Ontario, move number 4 since starting WMC in June of 2020). Aside from the embroidery, I also do everything else needed to run the shop: designing, product photography, marketing, accounting and more. Is it bad to say that sometimes I prefer the business side over actually stitching? On a more personal level, you might be able to tell that I love Taylor Swift. In my free time I love just chillin’ on the couch with a book, cup of tea and our new cat Gilbert (check out the Gilbert highlight for more Gilbert content). Introduce yourself below!! A few weeks ago I posted this hoop saying “Too bad it’s not icy and blue in Vancouver”. Well, I’m not in Vancouver at the moment but at least it’s icy and blue (swipe to see the lovely sunny snowy day we’re having).

🪡 She Had A Marvellous Time Ruining Everything: This level of intricate tight stitching could only be accomplished during Ontario’s post-holidays lockdown last January.
🪡 You’ve Got Your Demons & Darling They All Look Like Me: Stitching text on a curve is HARD.
🪡 Evermore Bridge: Nothing like stitching 32 words and having evermore stuck in your head in the middle of July.
