🎓✨ Winter 2026 New Student Orientation – On-Campus Day ✨🎓

FilSA was happy to participate in the Winter 2026 NSO On-Campus Day last January 8 at the Vancouver House Campus! 🇵🇭💙

It was great connecting with new students, sharing what FilSA is all about, and welcoming them to the UCW community. We’re excited to support our fellow students as they begin their journey and look forward to seeing many of them in our upcoming activities and events.

🇵🇭✨ First Rizal Cultural Assembly ✨🇵🇭

FilSA’s student leaders were honored to be invited to the First Rizal Cultural Assembly on December 21, 2025, bringing together Filipino international student representatives from UCW, KPU, SFU, Langara College, and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Each school had the opportunity to present their Filipino Student Association—sharing activities, initiatives, and accomplishments—creating a meaningful space for learning, collaboration, and strengthening inter-campus connections. A representative from the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver also shared key consular services and highlighted the enduring legacy of Dr. José Rizal, our national hero.

The day concluded with a fun Rizal-themed quiz competition after lunch, where UCW proudly emerged as the winner 🎉

Overall, it was an inspiring and productive gathering that deepened our appreciation of Philippine culture and strengthened our shared community.

Last December 19, we celebrated Christmas the Filipino way at Max’s Kingsway Restaurant — filled with fun games, exciting raffles, laughter, and great company. 💃🎁

Thank you to everyone who joined and made the night truly special. Being together and creating camaraderie, even while away from home, is what FilSA is all about. ❤️
