Did you know the history of Thanksgiving in Canada dates back to the mid-1500s? It's believed that the first Thanksgiving celebration in Canada was held by explorer Martin Frobisher in what is now known as Nunavut. For centuries, we've celebrated Thanksgiving as a time of gratitude for the bountiful harvest, and of course for our many blessings ~ and it's an especially important time to recognize the relationships between the original peoples of this land and how they've shared their knowledge and culture with us.
