On behalf of Filip, Alex and Max may we take this opportunity to wish all of our clients and friends of the practice a very merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous, and more importantly, a healthy New Year.
As in previous years, we no longer send greeting cards and instead we have made a number of charitable donations of our choice. Our first 2 charities are in memory of 2 clients that have sadly passed away during 2025:
- Brooklands Museum - This is in support of people that have a life-long love of steam trains, cars and aircraft. Brooklands Museum depends on the generosity of its friends and supporters. People have been captivated by the stories of motoring and aviation history, amazing events, and commitment to inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers. May BCS rest in peace.
- LONDON ASBESTOS SUPPORT AWARENESS GROUP - The London Asbestos Support Awareness Group was set up by The Hazards Centre Trust Limited, a registered charity, established in 1984 and obtained independent charity status in 2017. They provide practical and emotional support to anyone affected by mesothelioma, other asbestos-related conditions and Silicosis, operating across London and the South East including neighbouring counties of Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Oxford. The trustees have been carefully selected and represent a diverse group with significant knowledge and experience of governance within the charity sector, as well as leading caring organisations and in campaigning for those suffering and in need of help and care. They are proud to be network members and advice group members of the Asbestos Victims Support Group Forum UK. As members of the Forum they are committed to campaigning on local, national and international issues that affect asbestos victims and their families. May RTS rest in peace.
We also continue to support local North London/Hertfordshire charities where both Alex and Max grew up and where our family business has prospered:
- Young Barnet Foundation - is a membership movement set up to help grow local activities and opportunities for children and young people across the London Borough of Barnet. They are committed to improving the life chances of all children and young people living in Barnet. They believe that children and young people need opportunities for learning and fun, beyond family and formal education, building strong trusted relationships with adults and their peers in the wider community; leading to broadened networks, increased confidence and life skills.
- Monken Hadley Common Trust - The Trust is a registered charity which owns and runs Monken Hadley Common ("the Common") – an area of common land situated in north London, near the northern edge of the London Borough of Barnet – for the benefit of the public. Maintaining the Common is not publicly funded, but relies largely on income from members and day to day management by volunteers.
- Friend In Need Community Centre - Established over 30 years ago, Friend In Need (FIN) is a charity that provides services, practical and emotional support to the elderly and disabled people in New Barnet, East Barnet and surrounding areas.
As well as proudly supporting the local Barnet community our practice very much reflects the cosmopolitan nature of North London and with that said we are making donations to the following:
- London Irish Centre - Often big cities present personal challenges; loneliness, lack of sense of community or logistical hurdles can make if difficult to know where to go or who to turn to. Ireland is regularly referred to as the land of a thousand welcomes, and at the London Irish Centre they aim to bring that welcoming spirit to everything they do. The LIC has served the Irish community in London since it was first established in 1954 and they continue to offer a range of services to people within the Irish community, some of whom have attended the Centre for many years. Their heritage is important to them, but they are also focused on present and future needs. Aligned to their core values, the London Irish Centre is sensitive and responsive to the needs of all people, and we want to extend their services to other communities as part of an inclusive, multicultural approach with the aim of building resilient and cohesive neighbourhoods.
Thank you to the many of our UK based Irish clients and hoping that "Mother Irish" will be looking down with approval.
- Mönchengladbach Kindergarten - A Kindergarten with limited public resources in a city in Germany.
Caritas of Krakow Archdiocese - They are a Catholic charitable institution whose mission is to help the sick, the elderly and the disabled, the homeless and the unemployed. They assist families and people living in extreme poverty, children and young people from marginalised environments, as well as victims of violence, natural disasters and armed conflicts.
As another year passes we continue to thank our clients for their continued valued support, loyalty and kind recommendations, we truly appreciate it, as without our clients our family business would not have prospered the way it has.
Please note, the office will be closed from Friday 19th December 2025 and will be reopening on Monday 5th January 2026.
Thank you to all of our clients for your continued support throughout 2025.
Best Wishes,
Filip, Alex and Max
