To all my amazing clients, thank you for bearing with me over the next six weeks.

I’ll still be here doing what I love, just with the occasional child popping into the background, snack requests every 30 seconds, and a little extra chaos!

This week I was absolutely thrilled to receive my SheInspires- Celebrating Women Impact Leaders 2026 Founding Cohort plaque, and seeing my name on it made this recognition feel even more special.

I feel incredibly honoured to be a Founding Member of the Shelist Impact Leaders 2026 Cohort, standing alongside such an inspiring group of women who are leading with purpose, creating positive change and making a real difference in their communities and professions.

For me, financial wellbeing has always been about so much more than money. It’s about giving people confidence, reducing stress, creating opportunities and helping them build brighter futures. To be recognised for that work is both humbling and incredibly motivating.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged and believed in me throughout my journey. This recognition is one I’ll treasure, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together as this incredible founding cohort begins its journey.

Here’s to collaboration, impact and continuing to make a difference.

New 22% charge on cash in investment ISAs

A flat rate 22% charge will apply on the interest on cash held in investment ISAs.

Money market funds held in an ISA won’t be classified as cash, and won’t be liable to the 22% charge, provided they don’t make up 100% of the ISA.

A simpler first-time buyer ISA will be launched to replace the lifetime ISA. It will pay a government bonus, but there will be no exit penalties.

The government has announced a 22% charge on the interest on cash savings held within non-cash ISAs, including stocks and shares ISAs and innovative finance ISAs, from April 2027.

ISA providers and investors have been calling for government to give clarity on the treatment of cash holdings in non-cash ISAs. It follows the announcement in the Budget in November last year of a reduction in the annual tax-free cash ISA allowance for the under-65s from next April.

Confidence plays an important role in long-term financial decision making.

St. James’s Place’s latest report, based on research carried out by Opinium, shows that 44% of women feel confident making changes to their investments, compared with 63% of men.

St. James’s Place’s latest Women and Wealth report, based on research carried out by Opinium, shows that women who receive ongoing financial advice are significantly more likely to invest (77% compared with 22%).

The findings point to the role confidence, and support can play in how people engage with planning and investing over time.

For many, the challenge is knowing where to begin or feeling that advice is relevant to their own situation.

Yesterday, our team had the pleasure of volunteering at the Panathlon Regional Finals at Bolton Arena.

As a Partner of St. James’s Place, the main funder of Panathlon, supporting events like this is something we’re passionate about.

It was inspiring to see so much determination, teamwork, and enthusiasm from all the young athletes taking part.

A huge well done to everyone who competed and helped make the day such a success.

We’re proud to support such an amazing event and give back to our local community.

Congratulations to our client Liz, a retired NHS Consultant, on an incredible achievement at last weekend’s Ironman event!

Liz finished 2nd in her age group, earning a coveted qualification spot for the Ironman World Championships in Nice.

This outstanding result is a testament to her dedication, resilience, and determination.

We’re delighted to celebrate this success and wish Liz the very best as she prepares to compete in Nice.

What an inspiration!
