Pensions can feel like one of those ā€œfuture problemsā€ that’s easy to put off.

But one thing I always say is this:

You don’t need to have everything figured out to start thinking about your future.

Small, consistent steps over time can make a real difference.

And for many people, especially women balancing careers, family life and childcare - pensions often end up lower down the priority list.

The important thing is simply starting the conversation. šŸ’š

Hearing unprompted feedback from clients, in the moment, reminds me how much I love what I do. Behind every review is a real person who feels clearer and more in control of their future.

When Mary said ā€œI wish I’d met you soonerā€ during her review, it made me emotional. Sometimes you forget how much of a difference you can make to someone until they say it out loud.

This job is about so much more than money to me.

Thank you Mary for such lovely feedback ✨

I remember the first phone call with Hayley.

One of the first questions asked was, ā€œdo you look at both personal and business financial planning?ā€

It’s a really good question… because it’s not always obvious how the two connect.

But they do.

We worked through everything - her business, her personal finances, her future. Making sure, that she and her family are protected. That her business is protected. And that she’s using her Ltd company in a way that works best for her.

Financial planning is about bringing it all together so it’s working in synergy.

I love it when a client says, ā€œeverything finally feels clear.ā€

That’s always been my goal.

Because for most people, It’s about making sense of what’s right in front of them.

When emotional wellbeing is off, it rarely shows up as ā€œI am struggling emotionally.ā€

It sounds more like: ā€œI can’t concentrateā€, ā€œI’m exhausted all the timeā€, ā€œI’m overthinking everythingā€, ā€œI’m snapping at people I care aboutā€. But we keep going, tell ourselves to get on with it and maybe even feel a bit frustrated with ourselves.
These are signals. And when you start to understand what’s underneath them, everything begins to make a bit more sense. It’s likely you don’t have everything figured out – I’m not sure any of us do. But it does help if you have space to share and be heard.

Feedback like this always stops me for a moment.

Because most people don’t come to me when everything is going well.

They come when something just doesn’t feel right.

Not because anything has necessarily gone wrong, but because they don’t fully understand what they have, how it’s performing, or how it all fits together.

And that uncertainty over time, affects people more than they realise.

John felt like that.

So we took the time to go through everything properly and build a clear picture of where he stands and how he would be best moving forward.

The most rewarding part of my job is when that clarity clicks, you can feel the shift. Things start to make sense again, decisions feel easier and that underlying worry starts to lift.

2026 so far…

Recording and releasing a podcast with .inc , spending time in rooms with some seriously inspiring women in business and hearing their incredible stories for international women’s day. Conversations with discussing the importance of ownership šŸ‘šŸ½

And then the simple stuff.

Time with my boys. Lighter evenings. Watching horses wander across the beach like they haven’t got a care in the world - a little reminder to slow down in between.

And in amongst all of that, I was featured in The Times Top Rated Financial Adviser guide 2026 šŸ—žļø

When I look back 5 years ago… I could only dream of living this life 🄹

A reminder that hard, consistent work really does pay off. It’s about showing up, again and again, even when no one was watching (and you’re working from home in your dressing gown 🫣)

Spring/Summer… let’s go!

I never take it lightly when someone trusts me with something as important as their finances - especially when it involves both their business and their family’s future ✨

Supporting business owners is about more than the numbers or tax savings. It’s about listening, understanding what matters to them, and helping them make confident decisions without pressure or industry jargon.

From planning around her limited company to putting something in place for her son’s future, I’m truly grateful for the trust behind Kimberleys review and I’m honoured and excited to a part of this long term relationship šŸ˜

This is exactly why I love doing what I do.

Most people are not ā€œbadā€ with pensions.
They are just not given clear, accessible information.

Left unattended, small inefficiencies can add up.
With understanding, pensions can become one of the most powerful long-term planning tools available.

Clarity changes your confidence šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

šŸ’— Valentine’s… or not a chance!? šŸ’—

Our next Meno CafĆ© is coming up on Wednesday 11th February, and we’re talking about something that so many women quietly struggle with but rarely say out loud: libido, intimacy, relationships, and rediscovering connection.

I’m absolutely delighted to be welcoming Fiona Evans as our guest for this session. Fiona is a menopause coach and retired NHS nurse, with decades of experience supporting women, including five years as a bladder and bowel specialist nurse. Her own lived experience of a challenging perimenopause led her to this work, and she brings warmth, honesty, and deep understanding to conversations that can feel awkward or emotional.

Fiona will be gently talking us through intimate health and genitourinary symptoms of menopause, how these changes can affect confidence and desire, and why fear or discomfort can quietly impact intimacy and libido. This will be an open, respectful, and supportive space, with no pressure to share more than you want to.

Whether Valentine’s feels like hearts and flowers or very much 'not a chance' this year, you’d be so welcome to join us.

šŸ“ Coffee Lounge
ā˜• Free cuppa, warm welcome, no judgement

I’ll share reminders closer to the date, but for now, pop 11th February in your diary šŸ’—
