It would seem that quite a few mistakes were made on the initial claims for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. If you contacted HMRC about this and were told that a technician would call you within 48 hours to sort it out it is very unlikely that they will. HMRC are working on putting a process in place where an error can be corrected by you or your payroll agent. I attended a webinar on the scheme yesterday and this was stated in the questions and answers repeatedly. It did not say how long the process for corrections would take to put in place so a little patience maybe needed. Please feel free to message me if you are unsure about processing your claim.
