So it's been a while! Set up my business again last February 2025 and things took off a bit quick! Had no time to get my online presence sorted, but now I have! Still a work in progress , but the spirit is willing!

In the meantime, I've got some availability for MTD (making tax digital) newbies, if anyone is wanting help setting that up, or just want to hand it over, or wanting to get ahead of the game for next tax year.

If you have £50k income from self employment and/or property, you need to be registering for MTD NOW.

If your income is £30k plus for self employment and/ or property you will need to start MTD next April, 2027. Lots of people are wanting to set up systems now so that the pain is less next year and this is a fantastic idea!! If you want to do this, I'm your woman!!

**Tax Returns**
Love them or hate them, if you're self employed, they are a fact of life.

As it's now a new tax year (pauses for celebrations...), you might be just starting to feel that tax-return-dread creeping back. But....

One of the services I offer is helping people to prepare for when they're not here... Sounds morbid, right? I know from my own experience from when my parents died, that leaving a clear but secure trail of all your important documents, accounts and wishes is EXTREMELY helpful to those left behind. I can help you organise and securely store this information - drop me a message if you'd like to know more.

One of the things you can do yourself today though, is to make sure you have a will and it's up to date. Right now, you can get one done for free, if you're over 55. Not by me, but by a range of solicitors across the land.

Free Wills Month brings together a group of well respected charities to offer members of the public aged 55 and over the opportunity to have their simple Wills written or updated free of charge by using participating solicitors in selected locations around England and Wales.

For anyone wondering who on earth I am and what I'm doing here... here's a brief biog!

Since I hit the wonderful world of work in 1989 (!), I have had a very odd, diverse, and interesting range of jobs. I have no doubt that this list will continue to grow, but this is me so far...

Stage and production manager, sandwich deliverer, arts administrator, charity fundraiser, props buyer on a feature film (it went straight to video...), dog walker, vets receptionist, shop assistant, floor manager for HTV, bar maid, bookkeeper, logistics manager, business owner, puppy trainer, university lecturer and admin organiser. In short, I love a spreadsheet, a problem to solve, a challenge to face, an organised office and lots and lots (and lots) of variety.

I live in North Leeds with the two lazy hounds pictured. I have a couple of kids knocking around, a tiny caravan called Colin and a massive garden in urgent need of attention.

Thank you to all those that have liked and or followed this otherwise empty page! The power of FB has brought me three lovely clients since I started so thank you everyone for sharing etc :-)
