✨ What’s changing?

• A €3 customs duty will apply to all B2C parcels under €150 entering the EU
• Duties will be charged per item type - not per parcel
→ Example: an order containing 3 different product types = €9 customs duty
• IOSS will continue to cover VAT collection, but customs duties will now be handled separately

📢 Big Update for Business Mileage Rates! 🚗💨

From 6 April 2026, the UK government is increasing Approved Mileage Allowance Payments (AMAPs), Mileage Allowance Relief (MAR), and self-employed mileage rates for the 2026/27 tax year.

✅ 55p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles (up from 45p)
✅ 25p per mile for any miles over 10,000 (unchanged)

This change means employees and self-employed individuals could receive higher tax-free mileage allowances, helping to offset the rising costs of driving for work.

💡 For employers: Now is a good time to review your mileage reimbursement policies and consider updating rates to align with the new HMRC-approved allowances.

📅 Effective from: 6 April 2026

🚗 Are these new rates likely to affect your business or your personal mileage claims? Let us know below! 👇

🚨 HMRC PENALTIES ARE RISING 🚨

From April 2026, late filing penalties for Corporation Tax are officially going up and not by a little… they’re DOUBLING 💸

👉 Miss your deadline by just 1 day? £200 fine
👉 3 months late? £400
👉 Repeat offenders? Up to £2,000 👀

This is the first major increase in decades, introduced to keep up with inflation and push compliance harder than ever

⚠️ And it doesn’t stop there…
If you’re 6–12 months late, HMRC can add extra penalties based on your unpaid tax meaning delays can get VERY expensive, VERY quickly.

💡 The takeaway:
Filing late is no longer a small mistake it’s a costly one.

📅 Stay organised.
📊 File on time.
💰 Protect your business.

📢 State Pension Age Update

From 6 April 2026, the State Pension age will rise from 66 to 67 for both men and women.

This change will be introduced gradually over 2 years. If you were born between 6 April 1960 and 5 March 1961, your pension age will be 66 plus a number of additional months.

👀 What this means:
• Employers should check pension dates for affected employees
• Update National Insurance categories at the right time
• Apply changes from the first payment after pension age is reached
• Continue reporting old and new category data separately until the tax year ends

📊 Use the State Pension age calculator and official timetables to stay informed.
