Last chance to file your 2018 Tax Return📢

If you are a PAYE employee you must file your Tax Return for 2018 before the end of 2022 or it is gone forever!!

Revenue applies a four-year rule for Tax Returns. This means that you can only claim a tax refund (if applicable) from the last four years.

✨The deadline for claims from 2018 is the 31st December 2022.

How do you review your tax for 2018?
➡️Review your tax either by completing an Income Tax Return or by a Statement of Liability.

➡️You can submit an Income Tax Return for 2018 in which you need to make changes to your tax record. This includes claiming for health expenses.

➡️If you are jointly assessed, the assessable spouse needs to complete the Income Tax Return. The non-assessable spouse can submit an Income Tax Return by choosing to be the assessable spouse for a particular tax year.

➡️ If you do not need to make changes to your record (apart from the addition of pay, tax and USC details), you can simply request a Statement of Liability for the relevant year. If you are jointly assessed, either spouse can make this request.
