So proud of this young man’s resilience and commitment.
Grey Sunday morning in February I was volunteering for the Burnley Junior Parkrun. I’d asked Race if he fancied running and he wasn’t bothered so to have him change his mind that morning and come along to Towneley Hall, Historic House, Art Gallery & Museum and run was incredible and real show of personal strength and support.
He ran brilliantly and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It would have been so easy for him to have turned over and had a lie in on Sunday morning but he didn’t, he made the decision to do something new.
Let this be a life lesson to all of us. Do the things that scare you and that you put off for reasons only you know. Make a change for the positive, get in control. Make you better!

What a whirlwind couple of weeks. In November I officially joined Burnley Bond Holders Burnley.co.uk, a group of like minded influential Business people from Burnley who strive to help and drive each other and Burnley forward.

My amazing wife Carrie-Ann Kay and her company Rene K Couture have been members for the past 3 years and after seeing what Burnley Bond Holders has done for her and her business joining, when my financial planning business was established was a complete no brainer. The benefits, connections, friends and the opportunities available to you are as a member are invaluable.

I received my official framed certificate from Lukman Patel at Loom, the first Christmas party of the year and joined the prestigious group of likeminded local business owners. It was an amazing evening and great to be able to finally feel a part of the community.

AND breathe....... its's finally announced!

I'm not going to dive into the rights and wrongs of the announcements (I'll professionally keep my opinions to myself), but what a relief to finally see an end to the rumours and guesswork.

For months, the constant drip of "what if" has caused unnecessary worry and sadly, some have made huge financial decisions based on media headlines rather than hard facts. That is the real danger when speculation becomes a louder noise than the solid guidance.

The actual details are now in hand and it's my job to go through everything properly so my advice to clients can be clear, calm and accurate. Without the noise and drama and really focus on what it means for their plans.
