Are you managing your time and resources correctly?

Time is arguably the most cherished element of both life and business and keeping on top of everything can be vital

Whilst this year has been absurd in many areas, things are now moving again, businesses are open and much of the economy is up and running. Most businesses we speak to are trying to tackle all aspects but struggling to find the time and mental capacity to work on everything they want to. Whether this is day to day finances, simple tasks and operations or long term growth expansions businesses are struggling with managing what’s most important to focus on

We are providing close support to all clients to become the most efficient version of themselves they can possibly be, this is having a great impact. Something as simple as a shake up in the business, a second pair of eyes on simple tasks can provide a huge amount of improvement to efficiency ensuring things run so much smoother and most importantly the mental aspect of not feeling overwhelmed

We continue to support our clients on all aspects of accounting, finances and the process involved

Is it time for a change?

With all that has happened in 2020 the trials and tribulation have been like no other for businesses. With the economy slowly returning back to some sort of normality, we think now is the time to being looking deep into your business the way it is run, the safety harnesses and nets in place.

Unfortunately some businesses are not going to be re-opening post COVID 19. The pandemic has rendered a large number of businesses with a huge deficit which they have been unable to fill with potentially more to follow for the remainder of 2020.

Of course the whole pandemic was so unpredictable nobody saw it coming right? As a business, should you always have a back up plan? Should you have a 'rainy day' fund? Expect the unexpected?

From our standpoint a key factor to businesses who have survived through the past three months, there is one key factor which has allowed the businesses and its owners to feel some what relaxed (using the term loosely) In comparison to others....

They are organised and understand their business from a financial side. They have cashflows and forecasts in place. They run monthly profit and losses, they know exactly what their business is costing them each month and what their breakeven points are. This is vital and has been the tell tale sign to the business coming out the other end of the pandemic relatively unscathed.

Do you impliment they above? Is it time for a change? Do you understand your business and how long can it last in the worst case scenario?

We hope you, your family and your businesses have managed through these tough times, we will continue to support all of our clients into the rest of 2020.

Our top tips for business during this COVID 19 lockdown on how to continue moving forward and come out the other side ready to attack the market.

Our number one point would be to get organised. Get everything in order, all the admin tasks, the pile of papers on your desk, clear everything out. Take this time where everything is slow to organise everything you possibly can do. This will also reset you mentally so your fresh ready to restart, this will allow you to focus solely on the growth of your business after this is done.

Get on top of your finances. Are you paying for services/subscriptions or even overspending in areas which need view? Now is the perfect time to review this. Create a budget and cashflow which you can track your spending and evaluate it with great depth.

Be real with yourself and your business. If you’re in some financial trouble? Evaluate the decisions that have put you in the position. Have you overspent? Are you living beyond your means? Now is the time to be honest with yourself and fix these problems.

Work on marketing, create the content to push out during this time, make the content relatable, but don’t push your services. Offer helpful advice and give people a reason to follow you, contact you and value your content. Work on content to push out when the lockdown is done. Can you create a killer campaign which will change your business on the other side?

It’s fairly safe to say you will not get a situation like this whereby everything is shut and you are not being pressurised for time. Use it wisely.

We have been advising our clients on both business decision and personal decisions. We like to offer not only accounting services but business advise and skills to help your business evolve and continue growing. Good luck and stay safe.
