A reminder for employers: 31st May is the deadline to provide your employees with P60s for the 2025/26 tax year!

A P60 summarises an employee's total pay and deductions for the tax year, and is an important document for things like tax returns, mortgage applications, and proof of income.

Every member of staff who was employed by you from 6th April 2025 to 5th April 2026 should receive a P60, and if you're about to run payroll, now is a good time to make sure:
- all year-end payroll submissions have been completed
- P60s have been generated and distributed to employees
- payroll records are up to date

We had a brilliant evening at the Keeler Recruitment Casino Night at The Rooftop Gardens, all in aid of raising funds for Break charity.

Five members of our team went along to fly the GLX flag in what was a superb evening of great company, great food, and some questionable gambling “strategies”!

When the five-minute warning was announced, there wasn’t much left in the kitty, so our team decided to pool their funds together in a last-ditch attempt to claw back some winnings… but sadly, Team GLX ended the night with $0.00.

Still, we had a fantastic evening, all in support of a very worthy cause.

“Should I buy my next car through my limited company?” is one of the most common questions we receive from business owners, and the answer is rarely straightforward.

At GLX, we can run through the different tax options of cars and how to purchase them, however, there is no one-size-fits-all solution, and the answer is always tailored to your specific circumstances.

In this case, our client approached us at the end of their P*P agreement wanting to explore a more tax-efficient option for their next vehicle.

After reviewing their business profitability, cash flow, personal tax position, and the different ownership structures available, we helped them assess the wider implications including:
• Capital allowances
• VAT recovery
• Benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax
• Lease vs purchase options

Following our advice, the client chose to lease a fully electric vehicle through their company, resulting in lower personal tax exposure, improved cash flow, and valuable corporation tax reliefs.

This case study is a great example of why proactive advice matters, as the right structure can make a significant difference once tax, VAT, and cash flow are considered together.

Spotlight on Graham Dale!

Graham is one of our Directors and works closely with owner-managed businesses to provide outsourced finance director support.

His technical expertise includes helping clients understand their numbers, from cash flow management and forecasting through to management information and corporation tax advice, offering valuable insight into company financial performance.

However, away from his desk, Graham is a man of many talents and interests.

He spends most of his free time with his family, taking his two young children to explore the many parks and soft play centres across Norfolk, or enjoying long walks along the coast with his cocker spaniel, Toby. If it includes a pub lunch, even better!

Graham also enjoys turning his hand to DIY projects around the house, with any excuse to add another power tool to the garage. His next project is building an outdoor kitchen to house the pizza oven and BBQ he frequently enjoys using.

When he’s not exploring the Norfolk countryside, tending to his garden, or cooking, Graham keeps active with five-a-side football, padel, and running. He also founded the GLX “5 at 5” running club, encouraging the team to step away from their desks and make time for exercise.

We’re lucky to have Graham at GLX. If you ever fancy joining the team for a 5km run at 5pm, or a friendly game of padel or five-a-side, Graham is always happy to get involved!

Don’t forget to verify your identity for Companies House!

From 18th November 2025, identity verification was introduced for all company directors and Persons with Significant Control (PSCs - individuals who own 25% or more of a company) at Companies House.

This wasn’t a deadline, but rather the start of a 12-month transition period. If you have not yet verified your identity, you will need to do so by your designated due date.

Your deadline depends on your role:

- Director only, or director and PSC of the same company: Verify your identity by the due date of your next confirmation statement
- PSC only: Verify your identity within the first two weeks of your birth month (e.g. 22nd May birthday = deadline of 14th May)

The good news is that you only need to do this once, and it doesn’t cost anything if you use the GOV.UK One Login service.

Once verified, you’ll receive a personal code that you can use across all your Companies House appointments.
