I love being able to combine my role as a Financial Planner with Financial Educator, always looking to add value to the audience or client situation that has bought us together.

Thank you to Sadie Gardner from Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College and her team Jayne Jones, Amy Reese and Nicola Shillcock for inviting me along to talk with Level 1 & Level 2 students that are currently studying Hair & Beauty at their Oswestry Campus. I remember as a Student, those early interactions can make such a difference in life when financial decisions need to be made or considered.

Sitting down with me as a client or potential client, I want you to be reassured whatever your knowledge or experience of financial matters happens to be, I will put you at ease and help you to understand, allowing you to move forward with confidence. 🙂

Money can be exciting and become the fuel of your dreams...

Equally, it is also easy to let this feature well down the list of your priorities, allowing the daily grind of life to get in the way.

Today's meeting at Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa, a member of Radisson Individuals, hosted by the amazing Pippa Tait - L.ISP, BSc. (Hons) and her excellent panellists Emma Alston Voice and Communication Coach, Anna Williams, Liza Freudmann and Rhea Alton. An excellent team of experts, bought together to demonstrate the importance of telling a story that creates connection and emotion, backed by Logic.

It’s National Dog 🐕 Day Today, so Honey deserves a post on my feed to celebrate how much joy she brings to our family home…

Living the life that you want…I am pretty certain she does!! Her passion is lots of walking, eating and sleeping 💤. A simple life where she does not have to concern herself with the rising cost of energy, rising inflation and how you set yourself up to live the life you want.

Be sure to take action and seek the help in forming a financial plan that works for you, making your money work hard and allows you to move forward with confidence, despite the rising cost of living.

Blood 🩸 story continued…

Effective and Engaging Communication…is so important when building trust and confidence with an organisation or service.

I trust and will continue to donate and support the NHS Blood and Transplant service for as long as I am able to. One reason is that their communications help to maintain my trust and confidence in them as a provider of services to others.

Where did my recent donation of Blood 🩸 end up…?

After your donation at your local venue your blood was taken to our manufacturing centre in Filton where we ran all of our standard tests and then processed it into a form that can be given to a patient in need. Once it was ready it was sent to the Guy's Hospital where it will help to save or improve someone's life.

Over 1 in 3 people share your O positive blood, which means it’s always needed to help treat victims of accidents, mothers in difficult childbirths, and cancer sufferers.

There are other ways of giving back, so thought I would provide an ending to my story from last week.

Finding time in between my work to Give 🩸 is important to me. I try not to let things get in the way of my scheduled donations. My 57th donation this week, having done this for many years and always feel very well looked after by the donation team.

Great that the fire station in Shrewsbury provides their station bay as a donation centre - organisations working together to help the NHS Blood and Transplant service do their work.

To my connections, if you want to donate and are able to, I can help you find out how to register or check what the basic eligibility rules are.

When I left the trappings of a Corporate employed role 3 years ago, I decided a non-negotiable as a self-employed business owner, was to invest in Private Healthcare Insurance for my wife and I. Our healthcare provider is proactive in offering suggestions to keep our health in focus. Last weekend, I attended my annual health check up with Bluecrest at Lake Vyrnwy, made easy with regular appointments offered locally for the assessment to take place.

I consider my health to be of primary importance with my financial health secondary to this, and that is why I made the decision to become licensed to advise my clients on Private Healthcare as another option to consider with their financial planning journey.

Enjoying your wealth and security is better when health is on your side, but if the unexpected happens, can you get the help and support you need? My partnership with St. James's Place provides access to a number of well known and well regarded providers in this space.

My clients live lives, not product categories...but living that life can feel over whelming at times...

What I do in my role as a financial planner covers a broad range of areas that support my clients through all stages of their life cycle.

One important area to consider is how you preserve your assets for your own security and financial independence, whilst also considering how you might pass on your wealth efficiently to loved one's.

Keeping up my knowledge base is crucial in being able to effectively help my clients to navigate their changing circumstances whilst also understanding the continued changes in legislation. So a huge thank you to Elizabeth Greene from Time Investments for hosting a session last week at Albrighton Hall, Shrewsbury and also to Nigel Merchant and Charlotte Toogood from Kings Court Trusts for their insightful webinars.

It is expected that up to 10% of estates will have an Inheritance Tax Liability by the end of this decade, up from the previous 5%.

Be sure to seek the professional guidance on preserving your hard-earned legacy from unforeseen risks...

And to finish with a different perspective on preservation, for those of you close to Shrewsbury, I am sure you will recognise Haughmond Abbey, beautifully kept and preserved for everyone to enjoy, providing me a nice place to walk in between my meetings.
