Usually people tend to self-nominate for wider industry awards so these recognitions genuinely mean a great deal, especially considering the amazing categories 🥰🥰

Last Wednesday, I had the privilege of speaking at the Women in New Leaf event, hosted at the impressive Shawbrook Bank offices, 40 Leadenhall Street, London City Centre.

The event, brilliantly organised by Lucy Edes, Nicola Stangar & Alice Baggott, brought together an outstanding group of women from across the mortgage and financial services community for a powerful conversation on resilience in business.

We were also joined by main speaker Phil Ball, whose coaching perspective added real depth to the discussion, particularly around mindset, consistency and performing under pressure.

Resilience came through in many forms throughout the session, not as a buzzword, but as something practical and lived: adapting when circumstances shift, staying focused when things get demanding, and continuing to move forward with purpose even when the path isn’t straightforward.

What stood out most was the energy in the room. Honest conversation, shared experience, and a clear sense of ambition for what comes next.

My sincere thanks to the organisers for the invitation and for creating such a well curated and impactful event. It was a genuinely energising afternoon to be part of.

Last Saturday we had the pleasure of attending a fantastic local community event at Readingi Magyar Iskola where we hosted a table representing Mortgages by Petra - Hitel Financial.

For us, being a mortgage and protection adviser isn’t just about arranging mortgages or policies, it’s about building real relationships and being part of the community we serve.
Events like this are a great opportunity to have open conversations with people about their goals, concerns, and questions around mortgages, protection, and financial security. Often people just want a friendly face they can speak to without pressure, and that personal connection makes all the difference.

We truly believe that sharing knowledge and being accessible within the community helps people make better, more confident financial decisions.

We are still buzzing after an incredible day at The Specialist Lending Event 2026 in Birmingham!
🚀 We joined industry leaders at the National Conference Centre to dive into the evolving specialist lending landscape, exploring everything from market trends and regulatory changes to the growing impact of AI and automation on the customer journey.
The event was packed with valuable insights on bridging, commercial finance, complex buy-to-let and second charge mortgages, plus fantastic networking with fellow brokers and lenders.
Exciting times ahead as we bring even more knowledge and opportunities back to our clients!
