McBrides is now DJH Bexley!

After joining the group in April 2025, we have already achieved so many great things together, so we are thrilled to now be taking on the DJH name. 🚀

Tanya Hamilton will continue as our Managing Partner, leading the team as we help clients create and operate tax-efficient, compliant and profitable businesses.

Along with the new name, is a new look! Our office remains at Nexus House in Sidcup, but now with updated meeting rooms, comprehensive IT and technology improvements, and a new break-out area for team use and client events.

🚨 Government proposes major change to law firms’ client account interest

The Ministry of Justice is consulting on proposals that could change how interest on lawyers’ client accounts is treated in England & Wales.

Under the proposals, law firms would be required to hand over:

🔹 75% of interest from general client accounts
🔹 50% from designated deposit accounts

This would affect both law firms and their clients, particularly in today’s higher interest rate environment.
