Good afternoon everybody. Hope you all had a good weekend.

I had a cracking Saturday starting the afternoon with my first ever visit to The Attic Southampton for some comedy and ending with England football team securing their place in the World Cup Semi Finals.

A busy start to the week today, gathering documents together for applications to be submitted later in the week for a remortgage and buy to let purchase, and two appointments in the diary tomorrow from brand new enquiries.

Good afternoon everybody.

A slightly late start here today following a day at the cricket, staying at Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl followed by a 1am fire alarm and a 2am alarm for the England game. It was definitely worth waking up for!

I've already submitted my first application of the day for a couple looking to buy the house they are currently renting. This afternoon I'll be preparing files for a remortgage and another purchase with a view to submitting those tomorrow.

Following recent rate reductions I'll also be reviewing the rates for all offered cases to see if I can save my clients some money.

In line with a lot of the country, my phone and email will be turned off early today so that I can run some errands and settle down to watch the England game later.

Not one, but two mortgage offers received today, one for a young couple buying their first home and another for a client remortgaging their residential home to a product with no Early Repayment Charges, giving them flexibility going forward.

Meanwhile I'm slowly starting to melt in the office. Looking forward to going somewhere cooler to watch England play later this evening!

Happy Monday everybody, hope you all had a good weekend.

For me it was another visit to Southampton Summer Sessions on Saturday to see Paul Weller and what a show that was. Then Sunday was about the family as we popped to The Grapes for a couple of hours to celebrate Father's Day.

This week is starting with an appointment with a client looking to remortgage an inherited property, after which I'll be checking a couple of mortgage offers which were issued on Friday.

Later in the week I'll be contacting clients who's current mortgage deals expire up to and including the end of December to see if we can secure new rates for them early.

Following the latest vote, 7 out of 9 members of the Monetary Policy Committee voted to leave Bank of England Base Rate unchanged, with 2 voting for an increase.

This follows a number of lenders reducing the interest rates across their mortgage product ranges in recent weeks.
