Are you a sole trader or unicorporated landlord who recieves income of £50000 or more?
If your self assement income was at or above this in the year end 5th April 2025, you almost certainly will need to comply.
If you haven't already don't delay and start today.
▪️ Sign up for MTD via your government gateway. If you have an Accountant they may have already done this on your behalf.
▪️ Register with a compatible MTD software. I use Quickbooks for most my clients and they are currently offering significant discounts for users if signed up before Friday this week.
▪️ Start using the software to connect your bank transactions, create invoices and upload your payments reciepts.
First submission is due on 7th August and this is to cover 3 months ending 30th June (or 5th July). Tax payable dates remain the same. It is only the reporting of income that has changed.
