Back to work after a brilliant long weekend in Cornwall! ⛳️🍻🌊

Four days of golf, great food, plenty of laughs and just about every weather condition imaginable — sometimes all in the same round! ☀️🌧️💨😂

The golf had its moments (good and bad!), but you can’t beat a few days away with good friends and a chance to completely switch off.

Batteries recharged… now back to talking pensions, investments and financial planning instead of birdies, bogeys and whose round it is! 😂

Although I’m very lucky to genuinely enjoy what I do, so it’s not too much of a hardship getting back to it!

I’ve earned five minutes to let the world go by before heading back to the office to tackle the emails, paperwork, and all the glamorous parts of being a financial adviser.

Sometimes the best investment you can make is in a decent ice cream!

🐸 Today I swallowed FOUR frogs… and it feels brilliant! 💪📚

You know the saying, “Eat the frog”? It means getting the hardest jobs done first.

Well… I didn’t just eat one today… I swallowed FOUR! 🤢😂

Today, I completed all four of my annual reaccreditation exams that were due this month… on the FIRST working day of the month! ✅✅✅✅

Could I have spread them out until the deadline at the end of the month? Absolutely.

Would I have spent the next four weeks thinking, “I really should get those exams done…”? Also absolutely! 😅

Now they’re out of the way, I can get back to doing what I enjoy most—helping my clients achieve their financial goals. 📈💷

Sometimes the biggest weight off your shoulders comes from tackling the thing you’ve been putting off. So… what’s your frog today? 🐸👇

The sea has been the perfect place to pause, reflect, and recharge. 🌊

Today marks the last day of my holiday, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of switching off and taking in the scenery.

I’ll be back in the office from Thursday, refreshed and ready to help clients with their financial goals, answer any questions, and plan for the opportunities ahead.

Thank you for your patience while I’ve been away. I look forward to catching up with you soon!

St. James's Place has published its fifth Financial Health Report, carried out by Opinium. It found that financial resilience has fallen since 2025, as cost of living pressures continue. One in three are making lifestyle changes to deal with their stretched financial situation.

However, among those who have a financial plan, who are investing, and who have had professional financial advice in the past 10 years, the outlook is more positive. Those with a financial plan were three times more likely to say their financial situation had improved in the past year.
