Strengthening MSME Awareness and Support in Delhi NCR

Today, I had a productive meeting with Shri Arjun Gupta, IAS, Joint Commissioner (Industries), Government of NCT of Delhi, to discuss initiatives for creating greater awareness among MSMEs and strengthening support for entrepreneurs across Delhi NCR.

During the discussion, we explored opportunities to promote awareness through the MSME Mitra Course, organise MSME awareness programmes, and improve access to guidance through the Delhi NCR MSME Helpline.

At the Chamber of Indian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (CIMSME), we are committed to supporting MSMEs, startups and women entrepreneurs through free guidance, knowledge sharing and handholding support to help them navigate business challenges, understand available opportunities and grow sustainably.

I believe that stronger institutional collaboration can make a meaningful difference in empowering entrepreneurs and strengthening India's MSME ecosystem.

Looking forward to taking these initiatives forward for the benefit of MSMEs across Delhi NCR.

Shiksha Se Samarth Bharat: Empowering India Through Education
It was a privilege to be part of “Shiksha Se Samarth Bharat – A Capable Bharat Through Education,” organised by Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad (CSR Vibhag) on 21 October 2026 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi.

I sincerely appreciate the outstanding work being carried out by Ekal Abhiyan and Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad to bring education to children in remote and underserved rural areas of India.

Their commitment to reaching children who may otherwise lack access to formal schooling is truly commendable. By promoting education at the grassroots level, Ekal Schools are helping build awareness, confidence, opportunities and a stronger foundation for India's future.

As Swami Vivekananda rightly said:
“If children can't go to school, school must go to them.”
This vision beautifully reflects the spirit of Ekal's mission — taking education to the last mile and ensuring that geography or limited resources do not become barriers to learning.
An educated Bharat is the foundation of a Viksit Bharat.

Every child who gains access to education represents a step towards a more inclusive, capable and self-reliant India.

My heartfelt appreciation to everyone associated with this noble mission. May this initiative continue to inspire greater participation and collective efforts towards educating every child in our country.

India’s ambition to become a global manufacturing powerhouse depends not just on attracting investment, but on making it easier for businesses to start, operate and scale.
I had the opportunity to share my perspectives on Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA) on Sansad Television, alongside Dr. Charan Singh, CEO, EGROW Foundation, and Nagesh Kumar Member, Monetary Policy Committee, Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

With a proposed outlay of ₹33,660 crore to develop 100 plug-and-play industrial parks, BHAVYA aims to strengthen India’s industrial infrastructure and create a more enabling environment for manufacturing.

For India’s MSMEs, this initiative could be highly significant. Access to ready infrastructure, essential utilities and common facilities can help reduce barriers to setting up operations and allow entrepreneurs to focus on production, innovation and growth.

However, the real impact will depend on effective implementation, affordable access for MSMEs, strong connectivity and timely operationalisation of these industrial parks.
India’s manufacturing ambitions must translate into more factories, stronger MSMEs, quality employment and sustainable economic growth.

I am confident that with these initiatives the contribution of manufacturing sector in our GDP will increase to 25% from the current 16% in due course.

Protecting MSMEs, Safeguarding Livelihoods and Ensuring Business Continuity

Chamber of Indian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises believe that the growth of India's economy depends on a business environment where entrepreneurs, traders, startups and MSMEs can operate safely and without avoidable disruption.

Repeated protests, traffic restrictions and road blockages in important commercial areas of New Delhi, including Connaught Place, Ramlila Ground and it surrounding commercial areas, can create challenges for businesses, employees, customers and daily commercial activities.

While the right to peaceful protest is an essential part of our democracy, it is equally important to ensure that business operations, public convenience, traffic movement and the livelihoods of thousands of people are protected, which are directly or indirectly associated with the Micro and Small businesses.

With this objective, CIMSME is taking up this matter through a formal Memorandum to the Hon’ble Home Minister Sh Amit Shah.

Our objective is not to oppose anyone's democratic rights, but to advocate a balanced approach that respects peaceful expression while safeguarding economic activity and public interest.

MSMEs are the backbone of India's economy and a major source of employment and entrepreneurship. Their concerns deserve constructive engagement and appropriate administrative attention.

Through CIMSME, we remain committed to raising the genuine concerns of the business community and working towards a safer, more accessible and business-friendly environment.

Strengthening the MSME Ecosystem Through Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

Today, I had the privilege of meeting Shri Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, IAS, Chairman, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), and presenting him with my books, “MSMEs of Developed India - An Encyclopaedia of MSME Schemes” and “MSME Digest.” Authored by me, these publications reflect my continued commitment towards promoting awareness, knowledge and practical understanding of India's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), their growth opportunities, and their vital role in the nation's economic development.

During the meeting, we discussed opportunities to strengthen entrepreneurship, empower our youth, and create a supportive ecosystem for aspiring entrepreneurs, startups and MSMEs.

We also explored the potential for the collaborative initiatives under the proposed “Yuva Connect” programme, focusing on entrepreneurial education, awareness programs and capacity building.

I firmly believe that building a Viksit Bharat by 2047 requires empowering our MSMEs, nurturing young entrepreneurs and creating more job creators than job seekers.
I look forward to continued engagement with Institutions and Stakeholders to advance this shared vision and contribute towards a stronger, more inclusive and entrepreneurial India.

I have the privilege to be connected with Sh Manoj Kumar Dwivedi since last about 13 years. He is a great supporter to MSMEs and Youth of our country.

🤝 Listening to MSMEs, Understanding Their Challenges, and Working Towards Solutions
For me, empowering MSMEs begins with listening to them.

During the MSME Connect Summit 2026, held on 9th October at Hotel Novotel, New Delhi, we dedicated a special One-to-One Interaction Session to engage directly with participating MSME entrepreneurs and understand the challenges they face in running and growing their businesses.

As President of the Chamber of Indian Micro Small & Medium Enterprises, I believe every MSME entrepreneur deserves an opportunity to share their concerns, experiences, and expectations.

đź’¬ Whether it is access to finance, delayed payments, credit availability, government support, or other business-related challenges, understanding the ground realities is an essential first step towards identifying meaningful solutions.

The one-to-one interactions provided a valuable opportunity to listen to entrepreneurs, understand their individual concerns, and gain deeper insights into the issues affecting MSMEs.

My commitment is to keep the voices of MSMEs at the centre of our efforts and work towards strengthening the support system they need to grow.
Because behind every MSME is an entrepreneur, a family, livelihoods, and a vision for a better future.

When we listen to MSMEs, we take a step towards building a stronger MSME ecosystem and a stronger India.

Empowering MSMEs Today for a Stronger Viksit Bharat Tomorrow!
It was a privilege to welcome industry leaders, banking representatives, experts, and MSME stakeholders at the MSME Connect Summit 2026, held on 9th October 2026 at Hotel Novotel, New Delhi.

As President of the Chamber of Indian Micro Small & Medium Enterprises, I firmly believe that empowering MSMEs with timely access to finance, practical knowledge, and the right institutional support is essential for building a stronger Indian economy.

The summit provided a valuable platform to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and explore practical solutions for the growth and competitiveness of India's MSME sector.

Key areas of discussion included:
🔹 Collateral-free loans and credit guarantee support for MSMEs
🔹 Timely and adequate finance through digital and cash flow-based lending
🔹 Recovery of delayed payments through online dispute resolution

I look forward to continuing this collective journey towards a more resilient, competitive, and inclusive MSME sector.
