A lot of people are not going to church because they love God or desire spiritual transformation.
They’re going to church because they’re running away from doing the actual work.
Yes, I said it.
You didn’t work on your business.
You didn’t heal from your trauma.
You didn’t fix your attitude.
You didn’t take control of your health.
So you run to church…
And start shouting “Jehovah!”
God is not your shortcut.
You can’t go from lazy to blessed because you cried louder than everyone else during worship.
You can’t live a dishonest life all week and then show up in church to put on a holy performance.
Some people are just there for the aesthetic — not the transformation.
You want the testimony without the test.
You want the miracle without the discipline.
You want to be married — but you’re disrespectful, entitled, and unhealed.
You want wealth — but you’re glued to your phone, spending more time on gossip than growth.
This is not about judging Christians.
This is about holding a mirror up to the crowd that keeps running to the altar every Sunday without fixing their Monday–Saturday behavior.
Church is not a hiding place for the lazy.
It’s a training ground for purpose.
We have people chanting Psalms instead of reading books.
Praying for jobs they’re not qualified for.
Speaking in tongues but ignoring therapy, accountability, skill-building, health, and hustle.
You’re broke — not because you didn’t tithe — but because you refuse to learn, grow, and take action.
And again — before you start throwing stones — I’m not shaming anyone.
I’m just tired of the lies we keep telling ourselves.
Some of the most dishonest people I’ve ever met — wear church clothes.
Some of the most bitter, petty, jealous, and toxic people — quote scripture online.
It’s not the Bible that’s broken — it’s our commitment to living it.
So here’s a challenge:
Go to church, yes.
Worship, yes.
But also work on yourself.
Heal your wounds.
Fix your laziness.
Improve your character.
