*REPORT ON CATCH THEM YOUNG (CTY) VISITATION*

As the ICAN tradition requires that District Societies create awareness on the Catch Them Young Programme for Tertiary institutions and Secondary Schools, *the ICAN Awka and District Society today Monday 20th July, 2026* embarked on the Catch Them Young Programme for the 2026/2027 Chairmanship Year.

The School ( *GRAN HERMANO SECONDARY SCHOOL AWKA)* was visited, the students were enlightened on *the ICAN CTY Programme* and Road Map available for Secondary Students to become Chartered Accountants.

Detailed presentations were handled by Mrs. Amaka Ezeogu FCA, Dr. Nkiru Chukwuogo ACA, Dr Mrs. Nkechi Aroh ACA & Mr. Chike Ekwealor ACA.

During the presentation, ICAN Branded Jotter Note Books were distributed to the students and relevant questions were responded to.

ADVERT/APPEAL FOR SUPPORT TOWARDS THE 11TH CHAIRMAN’S INVESTITURE

Our Dearly Beloved Professional Colleagues,

To God be the glory, having successfully concluded the Eastern Zonal Conference, we are now back to base in Awka to fully kick off the Investiture activities of the 11th Chairman of ICAN Awka & District Society.

The success of this Investiture lies in our hands. ICAN Awka & District Society has attained a height that other District Societies, particularly in the Eastern Zone, now look up to. We must therefore sustain this standard of excellence.

In this light, I passionately appeal to every member to support by placing at least one goodwill message:

Let us also intensify efforts towards more courtesy visits, adverts, and donations to make this Investiture memorable.

The 20th Eastern Zonal Accountants Conference is a wrap!!!

We return all glory to God Almighty for granting us journey mercies and a successful attendance at the Eastern Zonal Conference held in Nsukka, Enugu State

We sincerely thank every member for your active participation, sacrifices, and invaluable contributions in one way or another towards the success of the conference. Your commitment truly made the difference.

Special appreciation goes to our District Chairman, who doubles as the Eastern Zonal Districts’ Chairman Anthony Anyadufu , for his excellent coordination and outstanding leadership. His dedication and vision made this conference one of the best ever experienced — a fact attested to by two Past Presidents of ICAN and the current President who were in attendance.

It is also worthy to inform our ICAN Couples that you should strive to attend ICAN conferences going forward. The ICAN Presidency and the Eastern Zone Executive Committee greatly welcomed the initiative for your recognition, as introduced by our very own “Double Chair.”
Indeed, we give God all the praise for a successful and memorable conference.
