Amanda,

Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. We are truly grateful for your support throughout this journey.

Five years ago, after raising our children in Melbourne we returned from Australia with the hope of buying a home here in New Zealand. We had worked hard to save, I had stable job and my husbands business was thriving. We were on track to achieve our goals.

However, everything changed suddenly when my husband had a serious accident. Our focus shifted from building our future to simply getting through each day.

Since then, my husband has been on ACC and attending ongoing appointments to support his recovery. After nearly two years, I returned to work and began exploring whether owning a home was still possible for us. Unfortunately, we were turned away by several mortgage advisers who felt our situation was too complex.

When we connected with you, your optimism and willingness to help stood out immediately. You took the time to understand our situation and gave us something we hadn’t felt in a long time—hope. Thanks to your efforts, we received pre-approval and were able to begin house hunting.

Now, almost three years after the accident, we have settled into our new home. This is something we once thought might no longer be possible, and we truly appreciate the role you played in making it happen.

Thank you again for your dedication, belief in us, and support. We are so grateful and look forward to creating many special memories in our home.

Warm regards,

A win this past week that truly meant something.

I was contacted by a couple who found me through my online reviews. They were going through one of the toughest chapters of their lives.

One partner had been forced into medical retirement in their mid-50s. After nearly 20 years in a home they loved, they suddenly found themselves facing the reality of living on a single income — with a mortgage still in place and no insurance to fall back on.

They made the incredibly difficult decision to sell their home and relocate somewhere more affordable, where employment opportunities would give them a chance to rebuild.

These are good people. Hardworking. Loyal. One had even spent over 15 years working for the very lender who ultimately couldn’t help them.

Despite only needing a small loan — less than $120k — they were declined time and time again. Their age, their circumstances, and strict lending policies worked against them. Other advisers had understandably stepped away due to the time and complexity involved.

When we first spoke over Teams, I could hear the stress and uncertainty in their voices. They didn’t know what options they had left.

I gave them my word that I would do everything I could.

I set a realistic timeframe of 10 working days…
On day 8, I called them with an approval.

The only condition was a signed Sale & Purchase Agreement.

That moment — hearing the relief in their voices — is something I won’t forget. After everything they had been through, they finally had certainty. A path forward. A place to call home again.

This is why I do what I do.

Not every case is easy. Not every deal makes financial sense on paper.
But sometimes, it’s not about that.

Sometimes it’s about showing up, advocating for people when they feel like no one else will, and refusing to give up when the outcome really matters.

There are advisers out there who genuinely care — who will go the extra mile, even when there’s little to gain.

And for me, helping people through moments like this… is worth more than anything as this allows me to fulfil my life's purpose which is helping others.
It’s about the people.
