She is a servant of Christ. God is the owner, we are the steward.

By profession she is a Certified Public Accountant and a Licensed Financial Advisor of Sun Life of Canada Philippines Inc. A former scholar of Megaworld Foundation and an alumna of Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Manila. She was an auditor from a very distinctive Accounting and Auditing Firm in Baguio before becoming an accountant in a private company. She received a vision last 2020

to be an advocate of financial literacy. She felt the sense of urgency in educating that having savings and investment as well as insurance during the COVID 19 crisis is very important. Now a registered and licensed professional and stopped working as an employee to pursue her advocacy. She's now starting to offer her FREE service in financial planning to empower Filipinos in making wise decisions in handling their personal finances. Her ultimate goal is to remind people that every blessings we received is from GOD. In Deuteronomy 8:18 it says, "But you are to remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, in order to confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day." “Learn from others” sabi nga nila. Hindi natin kailangan irepeat ang mga pagkakamali ng iba bago tayo matuto. Bakit natin pipiliin ang learning the hard way kung pwede naman tayong matuto mula sa mga pagkakamali ng iba hindi ba?

The best way to enjoy life is God’s way 😉 Ano nga ba ang will ni Lord sa buhay ko? Seek it and for sure, you’ll never regret it.

Matuto kang makiramdam at magpasya, toxic ba? Huwag mong hayaang at the end, maging ikaw ay toxic na rin sa iba.

“Health is wealth”, gasgas na kasabihan pero totoo naman. Piliin mong maging healthy hindi lang sa iyong pangangatawan, maging sa isipan, emosyon, ispiritwal at isama mo na rin ang pinansyal.

Mag-ipon as early as possible, the moment na magkatrabaho ka, build your emergency fund. Sympre habang nag iipon, wag kalimutan pg enjoyin rin ang pinagpaguran, treat your self too pero syempre dapat within your means and budget. Hindi kailangan maging mabigat sa bulsa ang pag eenjoy kaya naman mahalaga ang paggawa ng budget. Handle your finances well and be a good steward.

“Gusto kong mag ipon…”

Sino ba ang ayaw magkaroon ng ipon? Marami sa atin ang gustong mag ipon ngunit hindi alam kung paano simulan. Maraming willing tumulong na financial advisors kung paano ma-aachieve ang goals sa pag-iipon, pero mas marami sa atin ayaw magpatulong. 😅

UTANG, PAANO IWASAN?

Disiplinahin ang sarili na kung wala pang sapat na cash, huwag bumili. Iset mong rule sa iyong sarili sa panahon na ikaw ay natetempt bumili ng kahit na anong bagay, na kapag wala pang budget para dito o hindi pa sapat ang pera para makabili nito ay huwag bilhin ang bagay na ito.

Mahalagang magkaroon ng budget sa kahit na anong bagay na nais bilhin. Be responsible sa iyong finances as an adult. Adulting is hard but lubog sa utang is harder.

5 STEPS IN CREATING EFFECTIVE IPON CHALLENGE

make it doable! achievable ba yan?

Bagong Taon, Bagong Ipon. Napakaraming ipon challenges na pwedeng subukan pero hindi lahat ay doable at applicable. May kanya Kaya tayong preferences at pace so why not make your own challenge?

1. Choose your piggy bank
Pwedeng physical na piggy bank, or pwede ring virtual piggy bank basta ang susi for this na maging effective is hindi mo ito madaling maaccess para iwas temptation to spend it before the year ends

2. Choose a desired amount, be it a coin or a bill

Doesn’t matter if you start small, what’s more important is to START and be able to finish it. Be it 5 pesos daily or 1,000 per month. Magset and magcommit na gagawin mo ito hanggang matapos ang taon. Hindi mo namamalayan, you’re saving more than any ipon challenges out there.

You can try 20 pesos daily x365 days in a year= 7,300 that’s already a lot savings for a year or if kaya pang istretch, 50 pesos daily x 365 = 18,250 pesos

3. Choose the frequency of saving
Mas prefer mo ba ang daily? weekly? monthly? Choose what works for you. Ikaw ang mas nakakaalam kung anong mas effective sayo ☺️

Save at your own pace but make sure not skip saving within your chosen frequency

4. Choose to commit to it.
Starting to save is a struggle and sticking to it is more challenging hustle.

It is best to specify what is this ipon for, so you’ll be motivated to save. Para saan nga ba ako nag iipon? Para ba ito sa travel goals? Wedding goals? Educational goal? House and Lot goal? Car goal? Retirement goal or any goals that you’ve been keeping in mind. Set and specify it para May better sense of direction ang pag iipon mo.

5. Choose an accountable partner
Choose a partner who will motivate and push you to really save. It is easier to keep track of your goals when there is someone with you that is committed to your goals as well, it could be your best friend, your older sibling, your boyfriend/girlfriend, or your spouse or you may choose your trusted financial advisor, your partner for life in achieving your goals.

IPON CHALLENGE 2023

1. The Invisible 20/50/100
Set a goal how many months you want to do this, it could be in 3 months, 6 months, or whole year round. That’s being realistic. You might be frustrated in making this a habit at first so it’s better to keep a goal and to commit to make it!

Choose the amount that will become invisible, from 20,50 or 100 pesos. Whenever you receive the chosen amount in your hand, you must treat it as invisible and immediately save it.

2. Coffee/Milk Tea/Fave Drink Break Ipon Challenge
You don’t have to stop drinking coffee or milk tea or your favorite drink, you’re just going to cut back expenses being spent to these. From everyday to M-W-F-S or from everyday to once a week.

The amount that is supposedly spent on these drinks will automatically be saved to a designated account. You’ll be surprised how much you’re saving from drinking these.

3. Loose change savings
Whenever you receive “barya” or loose change at the end of the day, it automatically goes to that jar or bottle intended for this. At the end of the year, you may use this to treat yourself without guilt or you may just add this as your savings.

4. Payday ipon challenge
Set an amount you want to save every payday. It is best to automate this and be transferred automatically to your designated ipon account.
