Honestly, this just gets even more difficult to answer the more experience we get,
The first years in the industry are the most crucial, and let me tell you why:
As advisors, we realize that we are the same: humans with dreams that we want to make a reality.
However, in reality, not all will take my recommendation, it's their decision. But does that mean I ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐บ๐ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ? ๐ก๐ผ. Because I did my advocacy of reaching out, educating, and empowering. That is the very result of what we advisors want to achieve in each person we meetโ๐๐ผ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ป๐ฒ๐๐.
As I love to say to my fellows in the industry:
"Is it better to keep reaching out to all people and get some "No's"?
Or is it better to reach out to only a few people you are more certain will affirm your services?
The second option is efficient and ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฏ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐!
But what if critical illness struck the person you did not approach? and they were not prepared when ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ ๐ต๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐บ secure that protection that they were unaware of?"
So, my greatest learning so far is that our advocacy should be the prime reason why we do what we do, above anything else, whatever the outcome.
This will motivate us to meet more Filipinos who are unconsciously in need of financial security.
Reflecting today, my 5 years are 5 years of strengthening ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ต.
Faith in what we do.
Faith that we are improving the country.
Faith that we are spreading His goodness through our advocacy every single day.
This faithful motivation is what will make new advisors 5 years into 25 years of service in their career.
