The 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨 (PICPA) Nueva Vizcaya-Ifugao Chapter gathered local finance leaders and professionals for its Oath Taking and Induction Ceremony today, Aug. 29, at the Zen Hotel, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

The program featured key addresses from prominent figures in the profession. Bayombong Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio Sergio G. Bagasao, CPA, served as the keynote speaker, emphasizing that while "numbers teach us discipline," true success is not measured by titles, but by impact, highlighting long-term vision in leadership, accountability, and integrity over short-term solutions. Meanwhile, PICPA Northern Luzon Region Senior Regional Director Ms. Constancia O. Molintas, CPA, led the induction proper, reminding the attendees that "numbers may be our language, but trust is our currency." Outgoing President Mr. Allen Ray C. Ringpis, CPA, also delivered his message, reflecting on how a CPA who can adapt and be continuously trained remains invaluable to the profession.

Saint Mary’s University - Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (SMU-JPIA) were invited to participate in the event, with student officers Kody Dulnuan and Sophia Legis serving as masters of ceremonies.

Yooho!, first-year SAB mates of Saint Mary’s University! We hope you enjoyed the Sapientia a Deo Walk despite the weather condition and those full-load activities waiting for you at home. 🫣

As part of SMU's annual tradition welcoming all new Marian students, transferees, and employees, the Sapientia a Deo Walk—meaning "Wisdom from God"—was a true journey of faith and tradition. Today was filled with warmth, talent, and culture—from creative white flowers to Mother Mary's statue, and pins from JPIA, SMU BIBAK, the SMU Dance Troupe, and the SMU Band, all leading up to the vibrant Kalye Fair. Adding to the highlight was the official debut of Nixie, the SMU Blue Phoenix mascot!💙

With divine wisdom lighting our path, every step forward feels purposeful and anchored in His grace. Just like what our upperclassmen warned, "Walang magshi-shift!"—so ano, tara? Let’s step into this new chapter together with the fire burning inside us. You're never alone here. We have the Marian community and, most especially, God guiding us. Earlier today, August 19, 2026, the Department of Accountancy gathered at the Aula Maria Hall, Apo Pilo Building, for an empowering session on "Workplace Professionalism and Safety: Grooming Etiquette and Integrity."

To kick off the event, our Department Head for Accountancy, Mr. John Lindy R. Soriano, CPA, MSA, delivered inspiring opening remarks, reminding students that true professional excellence starts with the right mindset and attitude.

The seminar featured two distinguished guest speakers who shared essential knowledge for the corporate world: Mr. Sherween Jerry Paul Saquing, LPT, JD, MaEd, MBA-TEP, covered Good Grooming and Etiquette, guiding attendees on how to present themselves with poise, confidence, and corporate grace. Atty. Adrianne Marie Dummanao, CPA
addressed Safe Spaces and Anti-Harassment in the Workplace, equipping future professionals to foster safe, respectful, and ethical work environments.

To conclude the meaningful event, Mrs. Maria Concepcion T. Jalijali, CPA, MBA, Accountancy Faculty Member, delivered the closing remarks, urging deployees to carry these vital lessons into their upcoming workplace journeys.

A huge thank you to our esteemed speakers, faculty members, and participants for making this seminar a success! Armed with proper etiquette and unshakeable integrity, our accountancy students are ready to step into the corporate world and excel.
