When you’re overwhelmed, even small decisions can start to feel unusually hard.

What should I cook?
Should I answer this now or later?
Do I need to buy this?
Which task should I do first?

This can happen because of decision fatigue—the mental strain that builds after making many choices throughout the day. The more mentally overloaded we become, the harder it can be to think clearly, prioritize, and make even simple decisions.

That’s why good stewardship isn’t always about squeezing more into your day.

Sometimes it looks like reducing unnecessary decisions.

Create simple routines.
Plan meals ahead.
Write down your priorities.
Limit your options when you can.
Give yourself permission to leave some things for tomorrow.

And spiritually, remember that you don’t have to figure out your entire life at once.

Ask God for wisdom for the next faithful step.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all…” — James 1:5

You don’t need clarity for everything today. You may just need enough wisdom for what God has placed in front of you right now. 🤍

Save this for a day when everything feels like too much.
