Sharing Jaime’s story—a 26-year-old who is courageously battling a rare Stage 4 lung cancer.
She’s a financial advisor herself, but believe it or not, she wasn’t insured yet. Not because ayaw niya, but because by the time she decided to get one, it was already too late.🥺
One of her biggest regrets was thinking she still had plenty of time. Bata pa siya, healthy, and living a good lifestyle. Like many of us, she never imagined that something like this could happen to her.
What broke my heart the most was hearing her say that she’s no longer working para makapag-ipon para sa dreams at future nya. 💔
She’s working literally para mabuhay, para sa medications nya.😢
Imagine needing ₱11,200 every single day for oral chemotherapy! That’s 4M sa isang taon!
Hindi lang siya ang lumalaban—her whole family is carrying the burden with her. Yung retirement fund ng parents niya, pati mga kapatid niya, everyone’s sharing para maipagpatuloy ang gamutan niya.
Listening to her story reminds me that serious illness doesn’t choose an age. Being young and healthy is truly a blessing, but it’s never a guarantee.
This makes me appreciate more the work I do.
It’s not just about selling insurance, it’s about the help, hope, and peace of mind it can provide when life takes an unexpected turn.
We can’t always protect the people we love from illness. But we can protect them from the financial burden it may bring. And sometimes, that’s one of the most loving decisions we’ll ever make. 🧡
