On 17th February 2026, Gujranwala Tax Practitioners Association (GTPA), as a proactive delegation, visited Islamabad for high-level engagements with both the Federal Tax Ombudsman and Member Operations, FBR.

During these important meetings, GTPA presented key grievances and procedural challenges being faced by taxpayers and practitioners.

The delegation also highlighted critical operational and system-related challenges across various portals, reporting frameworks, and compliance processes. These discussions proved highly productive, leading to the formation of a Regional Committee aimed at addressing systemic issues, implementing practical solutions, and enhancing coordination with regional offices.

GTPA remains steadfast in its mission to advocate for taxpayers’ rights and to contribute towards a more efficient, transparent, and responsive tax system.
