But foreign income and foreign remittance are not the same thing.

The important part is not just receiving the money. It's declaring it correctly in your tax return.

A wrong treatment today can make it difficult to justify your income if questions arise later.

Many people ask, "Which assets should I declare in my tax return?"

The answer is simpler than you think.

If FBR already has a record of your asset, make sure it is declared in your wealth statement.

And if an asset is generating income, like rental income, don't leave it out. If your rent is coming into your bank account but the property is missing from your wealth statement, it can create a mismatch that is easy to identify.

A small mistake today can turn into a tax notice tomorrow.

Take a few extra minutes to review your assets before submitting your tax return.

5% tax. But is it minimum tax or final tax?

This is where many social media earners get confused.

If you are a resident person earning through social media, the 5% tax withheld by the bank is treated as minimum tax. Your final tax liability is calculated at the end of the year, and the tax already deducted is adjusted against it.

For non-residents, the 5% final tax treatment is different.

And yes, the rules can also depend on the number of followers or subscribers.

If you earn through social media, understanding this difference is important. Don't confuse minimum tax with final tax.

What if FBR asks you about a large cash deposit in your bank account?

The first question would be simple: Where did this money come from?

The same applies to your bank transactions.

Under Section 165A of the Income Tax Ordinance, banks are required to report certain transaction information to FBR.

So, if you're making large or unusual transactions, always keep proper proof of the source of your money.

Good financial records can save you from unnecessary questions and tax issues later.

Foreign remittance income hai ya sirf ek receipt?

Yahan par bohat se log confuse ho jate hain.

Bank account mein aane wali har amount income nahi hoti. Asal sawal yeh hai ke paisa kahan se aya aur uski nature kya hai.

Agar genuine foreign remittance hai aur uska proper proof, jaise PRC, available hai, to aap uske source ko explain kar sakte hain.

Lekin agar kisi receipt ka source explain na ho sake, to applicable tax law ke tehat usay deemed income samjha ja sakta hai aur tax lag sakta hai.

Is liye sirf yeh dekhna kaafi nahi ke paisa bank mein aya hai.

Asal baat yeh hai: Kya aap bata sakte hain ke paisa kahan se aya?

Full video dekhein aur receipts, income aur foreign remittance ka difference samjhein.

Mazeed tax updates aur simple financial guidance ke liye follow karein.

Many people think that if foreign remittances stay within
Rs. 50 lakh, they are automatically tax free.

That's not what the law says.

The Rs. 50 lakh limit is often misunderstood. If FBR asks you to explain the source of your remittance, you should be able to justify it. Otherwise, the amount may be treated according to the applicable tax rules.

Understanding the difference can save you from costly mistakes.

Watch the full video to learn how foreign remittances are treated under the tax law.
