π’ UAE business owners with group companies β this one's for you.
The Federal Tax Authority just issued a new clarification (CTP011) on transfer pricing adjustments in your Corporate Tax return.
The good news: if your company traded with a sister company or shareholder at prices that weren't "market rate," you can now correct this in your tax return yourself β no more waiting for FTA approval. For some businesses, this means paying less tax, legally.
The catch nobody's talking about:
β
Every single transaction you adjust downward must be disclosed to the FTA β no matter how small
β
Every adjustment can be audited later
β
You need 4 specific documents ready BEFORE you make the adjustment β including proof the company on the other side adjusted their numbers too
In simple terms: the FTA is saying "go ahead, adjust β but we're watching, and you'd better have the paperwork."
If your business deals with related companies (in the UAE or abroad) and you're not sure your intercompany pricing would survive an audit, that's a conversation to have before filing, not after.
