Elon Musk’s net worth has fallen below $700 billion after the value of his SpaceX and Tesla holdings dropped. SpaceX shares have seen a sharp decline, reducing the value of Musk’s stake. Tesla shares have also come under pressure following weaker-than-expected quarterly results. Even after these losses, Musk remains the world’s richest person by a significant lead.

Yes, digital currency or crypto could replace fiat currency. But if someone says money won't be needed at all due to an oversupply of goods and services, that would really surprise you. Let's wait and see in 2026! 😎

Pakistan’s Growth Outlook: A Prolonged Period of Stagnation

The World Bank’s latest Pakistan Development Update has revised down the FY25-26 growth forecast to just 2.6%, compared to the government’s more optimistic projection of around 4%.

This comes after three years of dismal performance — -0.2% in FY23, 2.5% in FY24, and 2.7% in FY25 — marking what is arguably the worst four-year stretch in Pakistan’s economic history, defined by sustained low growth, record inflation and interest rates, and a collapse in investment confidence.

The economy may have stabilized — but it has not recovered.

Industrial output remains weak, agriculture is in deep crisis amid climate shocks and policy distortions, and job creation has stalled.

Stability is not success.

Without credible reforms to restore investor confidence, strengthen governance, and shift resources toward productivity and exports, Pakistan risks institutionalizing stagnation as its new normal.

The ’s financial result for FY25 perfectly reflects our microeconomic reality — taxes have doubled, and people are clearly losing purchasing power. Although the company announced a 10% dividend, its financial performance still fell short of expectations.

Pakistan's electricity debt issue:

1. Govt signed Rs 1.225T loan on Sep 25, 2025, to tackle Rs 2.4T debt (2.1% of GDP).

2. Circular debt is unpaid power bills; deal borrows money, repaid via Rs 3.23/unit surcharge—total Rs 1.938T over 6 yrs from consumers.

3. Adds Rs 1k-1.3k/month to family bills; e.g., shopkeepers lose 4 days' pay, teachers cut school fees.

4. Power firms (IPPs) overprofited Rs 1T; govt ignores recovery, citizens pay for unused capacity (46k MW vs 30k peak demand).

5. Deal: Rs 660B old loans + Rs 565B new; citizens pay Rs 1.938T incl interest; skips full debt fix.

6. No new charge, but existing surcharge extends 6 yrs to pay principal, not just interest.

7. Other nations renegotiate contracts; Pakistan protects firm profits, banks call it "development."

8. Part of IMF program; ensures payments, boosts stock market for investors.

9. Locks in high costs: hurts businesses, jobs; drives youth abroad.

10. Why not recover overprofits? Why add more plants? How prevent future debt (still Rs 1.66T)?

11. Transfers wealth from families to corps/banks via unavoidable bills—Rs 3.23/unit tax for 6 yrs.
