PRIVATE SECTORS ALLOWED TO WORK IN PUNJAB

According to the notification, private sectors that would be allowed to operate during the lockdown include chemical plants, e-commerce for delivery etc, software developing firms, paper packaging firms, cement fertiliser plants, laundry, plant nurseries, agriculture machinery, agriculture products, glass manufacturing, animal hospitals, export industries, books and stationery shops, construction industries, electricians, tailors, mechanics and barbers.

However, all sectors especially the export and construction industries, are directed to strictly follows SOPs provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Textile and leather units who are involved in export are also allowed under this notification.

Candidates must be M.COM / MBA Finance / Msc Accounting or Finance or ACCA finalists.

FBR asks professionals to declare annual income, assets.

The professionals (like medical practitioners, legal practitioners, accountants, auditors, architects, engineers etc.) are required to keep following records:-

(a) Serially numbered and dated patient-slip/ invoice/ receipt for each transaction of sale or receipt containing the following:-

(i) taxpayer’s name or the name of his business or profession, address national tax number or CNIC and sales tax registration number, if any;

(ii) the description, quantity and value of medicines supplied or details of treatment /case/ services rendered (confidential details are not required) and amount charged; and

(iii) the name and address of the patient/client:

Provided that the condition of recording address of the patient on the patient slip under this clause shall not apply to general medical practitioners;

(b) Daily appointment and engagement diary in respect of clients and patients:

Provided that this clause-shall not apply to general medical practitioners;

(c) Daily record of receipts, sales, payments, purchases and expenses; a single entry in respect of daily receipts, sales, purchases and different heads of expenses will suffice; and

(d) Vouchers of purchases and expenses.

The official said the process of compulsory integration has been started and retailers falling under tier-1 category would face fine and penalty in case of noncompliance.

The purpose behind cash back is to check huge sales tax evasion in trading activities and document all the supplies by manufacturers and importers. Besides, this would help the authorities determine income at all stages of supply chain.

FBR would issue procedures for consumers to take back paid tax amount on verified sales invoices.
