Back On Track Bookkeeping Service

Back On Track Bookkeeping Service I PROVIDE BOOKKEEPING SERVICE WITH QUICKBOOKS AND EXCEL AND TAX PREPARATION. WILL HELP ORGANIZE YOUR OFFICE AND ACCOUNTING SYSTEM.

January 1, 1996 I took a leap of faith and started Back on Track Bookkeeping Service. A mother of three, I needed a job that allowed me the flexibility to meet the need of my family and home life. My oldest daughter, Jessica, was then 20 years old and a new mother to my first grandchild, Tyler. My two younger children, Charlie 8 years old and Sarah 4 years old needed still a full time Mom. Jessica

said to me one day “Mom you should start your own business you always go in and set people up or help them with their books when they are in trouble.” I asked her what should I call this business and her response was “Back on Track” and so that is it all started. So I took my love for accounting and my training and embarked on a new adventure. For the past 20 years I have had the opportunity to meet and work with some wonderful people. Some are short lived clients because I go in train them how to use their program and set them up and just stay available for support. Others I set up and stay on board to oversee their operation. I also have a regular seasonal tax business with repeated clientele that I look forward to seeing each year. I am often their go to person when they have tax questions or need to make a decision that affects their taxes. I respect my client’s privacy and work with them closely to achieve their goals. Back on Track is about helping individuals and businesses to have a service that is available for full use or short term training. I provide computerized accounting, spreadsheets and spreadsheets design and checkbook balancing as well as tax preparation. For businesses I will work closely with your CPA in preparing your books for the year end. I am here to help you get” Back on Track!’

On December 1, 2018 I was married and moved to Florida but I still maintain my clients in Massachusetts. I fly up North to check in with my clients and during tax season to service my tax clients. With the wide options we have now with computer and computer services I am able to do my day to day work for my year round clients from anywhere. If you are a tax client of mine I am still available to do taxes just give me a call. Heading up North Thursday for a 2 week stay to do taxes. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Kathie L. (Celata) Firsch

Tax Preparation 101 With Kathie

Today I wanted to explain your tax return and why getting a larger refund may not always be the best thing for you.

When someone receives a large refund it means they have over paid on there taxes and that money that you have over paid sits in the federal or state account gaining interest.
A smaller refund means more money you had access to all year.

I want to clear-up some misunderstanding in tax preparation. When you are a self employed individual and you bring your finial figures to the accountant to prepare your return the outcome is not determine by the person preparing the return but by the numbers provided. I recently had a client get upset with me and said he shouldn't owe that much that I was wrong. I asked him to review the numbers that he had given me and to provide me with missing information and the numbers may turn around. I will review a tax return in my office with you but I will not release a near complete return to a client to take home, sorry my time is valuable and returns do not leave my office without payment.
