Before the IRS opens up, let me just say this.
If your return gets flagged, it doesn’t always mean you did something wrong.

The IRS runs filters every year for things like: • ID checks
• Income verification
• Dependents
• And yep… sometimes just IRS system glitches

They also add new filters based on what they’re cracking down on, and tax pros don’t know what those are until returns start getting held.

Here’s the part folks don’t know 👉
Your return can be 100% correct and STILL get flagged.

🚫 No tax pro can stop it
🚫 No one can speed it up
🚫 Any year, it can be you

If it’s flagged, expect delays. Normal refunds take 8–21 days. If it passes day 21, it’s likely under review and an actual IRS agent has to touch it.

📌 EITC/ACTC filers nothing moves until after Feb 15, so don’t panic.

File early. File right. Be patient.
